  1. Some of the embedded services

Use of YouTube

On this page we embed YouTube videos. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (hereinafter “YouTube”). We will inform you before you access a website if these plug-ins contain YouTube functions. If, following this information, you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in and you agree to data processing by YouTube, a connection to servers of YouTube will be established. This tells YouTube which pages you visit. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can personally attribute your surfing behaviour to you. You can prevent this by first logging out of your YouTube account.

If a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour. The call to YouTube automatically triggers a connection to Google. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by YouTube can be found in the provider’s privacy policy. There you will also find further information on your rights and settings to protect your privacy. Google processes your data in the USA.

If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to expect such cookies even when watching YouTube videos. YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in the browser.

Use of Facebook Pixel

Within our online offer, the so-called “Facebook pixel” of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or if you are resident in the EU, Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”), is used.

With the support of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to determine you as a visitor to our online offer as a target group for the display of ads (so-called “Facebook Ads”). We will inform you before you call up a website if it contains Facebook pixel functions. If you call up the corresponding website after this information, a connection to Facebook is established.

We use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who exhibit certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called “custom audiences”). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook Ads correspond to the potential interest of users and do not appear to be annoying. The Facebook pixel also enables us to track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users are redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called “conversion”).

The use of the Facebook pixel as well as the storage of “conversion cookies” is done by consent in the cookie banner, thus on the basis of your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
