We offer opportunities for both mandatory and voluntary internships. Throughout your entire internship, we will provide you with personalized guidance and support your development.

At ams OSRAM, as a working student, you combine your academic studies with practical professional experience within an international environment. Working student positions are available at our locations in Germany and are designed for a maximum of 20 hours per week, ensuring that you can effectively balance your studies with your professional work.

What opportunities does ams OSRAM offer for international graduates?

ams OSRAM offers excellent career opportunities for international graduates with technical or scientific degrees, including direct-entry positions.

Can I write my bachelor or master thesis at ams OSRAM, and is it possible outside Germany?

Bachelor and master theses are possible in almost all corporate areas. In principle, theses can also be completed outside Germany; however, this requires a successfully completed internship of several months at a German site.

In which corporate areas does ams OSRAM offer student positions (internships and working student roles)?

ams OSRAM offers internships and working student positions in almost all corporate areas. All open positions are published on our Jobboard.

Can I apply for a student position outside Germany?

Internships abroad are currently limited to students in dual-study programs. Working student positions are offered at German sites.

What documents are required to apply for a student position?

A CV is required. A cover letter and relevant certificates can be uploaded optionally.

How long does an internship usually last?

Mandatory internships follow university guidelines (usually 4–6 months). Voluntary internships start from 8 weeks.

What are the requirements and working hours for working students?

You must be enrolled at a university or college. Working students may work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 35 hours during semester breaks. A minimum duration of six weeks is required.

Does ams OSRAM offer PhD opportunities and how can I apply?

Yes, ams OSRAM offers PhD positions primarily in technical and scientific areas. All current PhD opportunities are published on our Job Board.

How long does a PhD at ams OSRAM take?

PhD positions are usually offered with three-year contracts.
