We leverage our technical expertise to create solutions that address diverse customer needs — from energy-efficient lighting and sensors to optical semiconductor technologies. A large part of our lighting portfolio is classified as environmentally sustainable under the EU Taxonomy, also reflecting how we contribute to a more sustainable future.

For us at ams OSRAM, sustainability means taking environmental and social responsibility, understanding what our stakeholders expect across the value chain, and integrating those expectations into our business processes. We care deeply about using resources responsibly, protecting the environment, providing good working conditions, ensuring health and safety, and respecting human rights. These topics are addressed as part of our strategy and operational management, and we continuously work to strengthen and advance them.

Handling hazardous waste, navigating complex customs regulations, along with storing and shipping up to 33,000 material items — all of this is part of a demanding day for Jens and his team.

Outside of work, Jens supports a humanitarian organization and, on occasion, even cooks for thousands of guests: “I want to help people reach their full potential and grow their talents and skills,” says Jens.

He also devotes much of his free time to turning that wish into reality: Jens has been volunteering with Embracing the World (ETW) and its German organization, Amrita e.V., since 1992. The international humanitarian organization provides people in need with food, shelter, healthcare, education, and livelihood support — especially when natural disasters and other crises strike.

In Singapore, our colleagues launched the Social Impact Club, bringing colleagues together to support communities in need. They also took part in Hair for Hope, a campaign by the Children’s Cancer Foundation where participants shave their heads to stand in solidarity with children battling cancer and to raise awareness and support for their journeys. 

Together, colleagues from diverse backgrounds united with a shared purpose, demonstrating how compassion, inclusion, and collective action can make a lasting difference in our communities

Giving back together. Our IP team spent a day volunteering at the Clemens Maria Children’s Home in Munich, supporting preparations for the Summer and Sports Festival.
